As you explore Rutgers University—New Brunswick, you will see brand new buildings and the future of Rutgers being created. We have several projects currently under way that will provide many new opportunities for our students.
Fred Hill Training Complex
■ This indoor practice facility for the baseball and softball programs will allow the teams to practice in inclement weather. The 22,500-square-foot fabric structure will feature an Astroturf field as well as a series of batting cages. It will also include lighting that will emulate outdoor lighting, and heat will be provided for year-round use. Opening fall 2016.
Richard Weeks Hall of Engineering
■ This 104,000-square-foot project is designed to become the gateway of the Busch Campus and will feature a flexible 300-seat lecture hall, advanced manufacturing facilities, a pilot manufacturing lab, and other labs including materials characterization, robotics, and energy. Opening summer 2018.
Pharmacy Building Addition
■ A 48,000-square-foot addition to the existing William Levine Hall Building will feature two 300-seat auditoriums, two collaborative practice simulation laboratories, classrooms, laboratories for basic research in the pharmaceutical and biomedical sciences, as well as administrative space. Opening fall 2017.
Waksman Institute of Microbiology Third Floor Addition
■The existing Braun Wing of the Waksman Institute of Microbiology will be getting a 7,410-gross-square-footage addition that will feature state-of-the-art laboratory and research space. Opening summer 2018.
