Chemistry and Chemical Biology
■ This nearly 145,000 square-foot facility will feature flexible research laboratory areas for teaching/teaching support, classrooms, and collaborative and administrative space that will allow Rutgers’ internationally recognized faculty to expand and accelerate in groundbreaking research in drug design, alternative energy, biomaterials, nanotechnology, and molecular engineering. Opening fall 2017.
Pharmacy Building Addition
■ A 57,000-square-foot addition to the existing William Levine Hall Building will feature two 300-seat auditoriums, two collaborative practice simulation laboratories, four 60-seat classrooms, a community practice patient international simulation site, small group study rooms, centralized student commons, as well as administrative space. Opening fall 2017.
Richard Weeks Hall of Engineering
■ This 104,000-square-foot project is designed to become the gateway of the Busch Campus and will feature a flexible 300-seat lecture hall, advanced manufacturing facilities, a pilot manufacturing lab, and other labs including materials characterization, robotics, and energy. Opening summer 2018.
Waksman Institute of Microbiology Third Floor Addition
■ The existing Braun Wing of the Waksman Institute of Microbiology will be getting a 10,500 square-foot addition that will feature state-of-the-art laboratory and research space. Opening spring 2019.
